BEING a By-Law to rescind By-Law 954-93

and

BEING a By-Law to establish a price list to be used in connection with the

Municipality of Machin Cemeteries

                  WHEREAS The Cemeteries Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter C-4, Section 52 provides that an owner of a cemetery may make by-laws for regulating the operation of the cemeteries.

                  NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED as a by-law of the Corporation of the Municipality of Machin as follows:

1.               THAT the following Price List be established effective immediately:

                  Cremation

                  4' x 8' or 4' x 10'                Resident $100.          $ 40.                $140.

                  Cremation Divided by 4 (other remains)

                  INTERMENT AND OTHER

                  Interment                                                                                      $375.

                  Cremated Remains                                                           $ 75.

                  Saturday/Public Holiday Interment Extra Charge            $100.

                  Interments completed after 4:00 p.m.                                           $ 50./hr

                  Ownership Transfer                                                                      $ 20.

                  MONUMENTS AND MARKERS CARE AND MAINTENANCE FEES

                  Flat Markers - at least 1115.85 square centimeters

                                                      (173 square inches)                                    $ 50.

                  Flat Markers less than 1115.85 square centimeters

                                                       (173 square inches)                                   No Charge

                  Upright Markers - 1.22 meters (4 feet) or less in height

                                                and 1.22 meters (4 feet) or less in length,

                                                including the base                                           $100.

                                              - more than 1.22 meters (4 feet) in either

                                                height or length, including the base                $200.

                  NOTES:

                  (b) Rates proposed above include a $10.00 per interment licence fee imposed by the Province;

                  (c) All rates are subject to Federal and Provincial Tax Regulations

2.               THAT the above price list be subject to the provisions of Section 26 and 27 of The Cemeteries Act, R.S.O. 1990.

3.               THAT this By-law shall take effect and come into force upon the final passage hereof.
